On 7 February, P5 and P6 had a visit from Fireman Don McGrillen, who talked to them about many issues surrounding fire safety. He explained the most common fire hazards in the home and how important it was to complete a nightly fire check and have a safety route planned. He explained all the different elements of the fireman's uniform and let the children take turns dressing up in his helmet, fire-jacket and boots.
